It's orange, it's sweet... it's delicious.
This town is full of crazy.
Meanwhile, I converted "celebrity" into a vocabulary game. It was a hit.
SPOILER ALERT:
One of Ashlee's old students was shot and killed this weekend. Another 8th grader. I don't really know what to say about this one except... damn. I am starting to understand the shortsightedness, the desperation, the always-on-the-defensive-worry, the instinct to fight for self-preservation.
Another baby.
Meanwhile I'm thrilled to have the students I do have. Very few with extreme attitudes this year. Generally, they do what I say. (Knocks heartily on wood). I know you're not supposed to have favorites but I totally do. I don't act upon it- or else try my best not to. But thank goodness I have B in my class. They were taking a test the other day- and he was sitting in his desk doing a combo-hula and swim dance there in perfect silence. When I gave him a "what-are-you-doing?" wrinkled eyebrow look, he said "I'm just thinking of that noun song!"
If only there were more time to sleep and watch netflix.

I'd love to hear that noun song!...and see the dance that goes with it! So sorry about the sad parts. Love you.
Sleep and netflix. Wow that would be something. Unfortunately the real world outside your door needs you too much to allow that. Keep on doing great things.
