If you're stressed, it's burlesque that we suggest!

Making my live xylophonist debut:

The office scene. Our version of Kiss the Girl involves Hazel Mae realizing she is a lesbian.

I am in awe of the process of creating right now. What started as Ashlee and I singing Disney songs on an Alabama beach morphed over a few months into a beautiful, hilarious, and ridiculously fun show. The house was packed both last night and opening night. A wonderful rush of adrenaline and all that good stuff that comes with performing... and an extra bit because it wasn't just remembering the dance steps or reciting lines- these were songs I had written, dances we choreographed, in our living room- which for the past three months has looked like a burlesque jungle. Sparkly things abound. High heels are everywhere. What a wonderful life I lead.

Our roommate, colleague, and MC: Tucker.

Other good news: I got a residency position at Young Aspirations Young Artists (YAYA), which is a super-cool nonprofit that works with kids who want to learn about art. I get to use their studio space and create a few projects, and work with some of these young apprentices too! I've decided that my extracurriculars are all going to be art related.

I think I might have to stay here another year.

Yeah! that means I have more time to figure out when I can come visit. here is my corny comment for the day; you inspire me to do more with myself. and also, how do you have time in your life? I make coffee and sub and feel like the day isn't long enough. do you have that thing the Hermione had in Harry Potter?

I'm a comment behind. I just read your last post after Thanksgiving. I loved your kids comments. They are certainly perceptive. They're coming along aren't they.

Hooray for the teacher!
